Gonna put up one of mine. I can't do any of the wonderful, artistic or technical stuff you guys do...I'm strictly old school and of limited talent...but I've always loved doing candids and portraits, and the challenge of having that one click of the shutter to freeze time and capture something of your subject.

This is an old one of my daughter, covered with sidewalk chalk dust and mighty pleased with herself.

Nice photo, Jo.
You did capture much in this image such as emotion, mood, color, etc. The chalk dust is a good historical dipiction of previous action which prompts the viewer to imagine that your daughter was at play, coloring a sidewalk and hopefully not the house! The blooming Azaleas and a light spring jacket let us know the photo was taken on a cool day in late May.

Very nice Al! I like your shots, and I've had a thing for pictures of clouds since I studied Alfred Stieglitz's cloud series in school.

She still draws on everything (and paints, and shoots film, and experiments with the digitals, and sculpts...she definately got the art gene from her dad).

Here she is a little more recently, standing next to her final project for one of her art classes. The photo collage on the board is made up of self portraits she did.

She does nice work.
Art gene from dad, huh? I'm sure you must have contributed some of your talent!

Why not check out the moon? A $20 Galileoscope (25x zoom) and a hand-held Canon Powershot A720 IS camera (basically a point-and-shoot cam with 6x zoom) and I managed to take this picture! :shock:

Nice Per 8) You can move from taking pictures in reality all the way to surrealism. I need a camera like that!

I suppose I could add a few;
Halloween -October 31, 2010 we had some spooky weather. At the park early in the day and then at home in the evening.
