Defining CB albums

Post by [email protected] » Mon Jul 24, 2017 4:35 am

I would like to return to the kind of topics I used to put up as a newbie at this forum some 14 years ago!

I came to think of these stickers on the Abba reissues, where each album is given an epithet, Arrival is called "The Classic Album" and Voulez-Vous "The Dynamic Album" for example.

I thought the CB albums could be defined as well.

Here are my suggestions:

CITY BOY - The Grand Debut Album
DINNER AT THE RITZ - The Progressive Album
YOUNG MEN GONE WEST - The Diversified Album
BOOK EARLY - The Classic Album
THE DAY THE EARTH CAUGHT FIRE - The Monumental Album
HEADS ARE ROLLING - The Comeback Album
IT'S PERSONAL - The Lost Album

How would you name them?

I think you quite nailed it on the head there Mikael !

Alternative options that come to my mind :

CB : the waggish album
DATR : the atmospheric album
YMGW : the American album
BE : the allround album
TDTECF : the cinematic album
HAR : the quartet album
IP : the unknown album
The bigger the miracle, the smaller the audience
