Hi All,

Great to stumble over this place and hey Rito!!! love the Andy Partridgr quote. My favourite XTC line is "The smell of burnt books is not unlike human hair".

City Boy wise, was into them from the start. Personal favourite is Dinner At The Ritz, super album. I was never a real fan of "Book Early", it all seemed so slight with the exception of Slamer's "Cigarettes" solo.

Real return to form with TDTECF, Def Leppard then nicked their clothes. Heads are Rolling had only a couple of killer songs and it all ended so sadly.

Looking forward to joining in where time allows.

Hi headrock!

Welcome to the board - looking forward to your contributions!

I think the Def Leppard thing might have been something to do with a shared producer... I also see similarities in production between CB and some of the mid-era Boomtown Rats.

Welcome also Headrock.

I like your XTC quote too - from a great song off an exceptional album.

Hello matey !! Share two things in common here, i too was into them virtually from the start, (Autumn 76), and also think DATR one of the best LPs ever recorded !!! Love the first one too..........
I reckon you'd be in the UK, possibly Birmingham, seeing as you were into them from the outset............
Stone me what a life.
