New England

Thank you, Gary W., for the New England CDs.
NE reminds me of CB, in a very subtle way. I don't know if anybody agrees. Like CB, they too were also an under rated band.
I had the Explorer Suite cassette 22 years ago. I wore that out a long time ago.
Nobody that I've talked to has even heard of...

Re: VINYL RECORDS

Hi Drew,
I tend to be a bit of an laggard when it comes to new technology. I bought my first CD player only 3 years ago.
Consequently, I am not familiar with this MP3 you speak of. Yes, I have heard of it, but I know nothing of it.
I do not speak the language. No comprendo.
Is it bueno? Tel...

Re: VINYL RECORDS

I wonder what might be next, after CDs?
I suspect there may be a revolution in the works for even more efficient music storage at an affordable level for the masses.
Problem is, that means all new equipment to listen to it on and repurchasing the same music again, as well.

Hey Gary W,
That would be greatly appreciated. I live in Ohio, but even so, I'll be glad to pay for the shipping myself. Otherwise, I would even do a trade if you like.
You can send an e-mail my way for info at [email protected].

Hey Gary W,
Actually, I was not sure if N.E. albums were ever put to CD, so it is good to know they were.
Also, how many albums did New England record?

Re: VINYL RECORDS

Hello everyone,
Your're very welcome, Lee G.
It still amazes me at how many of us are Kansas fans. I never knew just how huge Kansas is until now.
I don't feel too badly about tossing out my vinyl records because most are pretty well worn. However, there are a few I can never part with.
I ha...

Re: VINYL RECORDS

Some time ago I read an article that agrees with your observation regarding the superiority of sound quality that vinyl records possess. It was in some technical journal, though I don't recall which one.
Most of my records are pretty well worn, however, so I don't feel too badly tossing them out. ...

Re: Super hits of the 70's (Post 1 of 12)

Interesting..
I haven't seen this before. Are we taking votes?
If so, of the songs you have listed as your choices for top songs, my favorite is Harrison's, My Sweet Lord. Second would be 25 or 6 to 4.
If enough of us do in fact choose a favorite from each of the years, it would be interestin...

VINYL RECORDS

I decided last fall to completely replace all of my vinyl LPs with CDs, if possible.
Some of you may cringe, now, but I then set out to off-load all of my vinyl. I took my entire set to some of those record stores that purchase LPs, and to my dismay, none wanted what I had. I was told to "garage ...

OK Dave, I'm astonished that you didn't know that Steve Walsh was from Kansas, one of the greatest M.R. bands ever, but I would bet you will be just as astonished to find out I don't know who the hell Seventy Keys are...
Well who the...
Help!!
Inquiring minds want to know.

Re: It's very personal

Hi Hjalb,
Actually, I think IP is a great album. It has the sound of the time (1981) and what a great time musically it was.
In a very suble way it reminds me of the LP, EXPLORER SUITE, by NEW ENGLAND. A great album that I am attempting to get on CD even as we speak.
Otherwise, thanks for th...
