Re: Mike Slamer - Seventh Key

? Only saw Styx the one time - Line-up was Lawrence Gowan on vocals, JY, Tommy Shaw, Todd Sucherman, Ricky Phillips and Chuck Panozzo made an appearance on bass. Never saw Kansas, but did see Kerry Livgren with AD when I was in college. Unfortunately didn't know who he was at the time, or I would h...

It appears we saw the same Kansas and Styx tours, bertrand.

I am unfamiliar with Dennis' double cd. I need to check it out. I'm glad you mentioned it.

Re: Mike Slamer - Seventh Key

Hi Andy, Now I feel I should have gone! Regardless, I have seen them both enough times, so I feel no real loss. I first saw Kansas on their "Point Of Know Return" tour in December, '77, in Pittsburgh. First saw Styx the following summer. I am still mindful of Styx with their original lineup (Tommy S...

I am expecting to get a similar impression of the music. I keep hoping for something more for 7K though I'm still thrilled to have the music.

Re: Mike Slamer - Seventh Key

I just wish we could get them to do a live gig for us loyalists. Al, I see Styx and Kansas were in your neck of the woods recently - did you get to see them? Andy. Hi Andy I did not go to the local show. The wife wanted to go but I am burned out on both Styx and Kansas. Styx with only two original ...

I checked out Billy Greer's web site and there is an interview with both Mike and Billy regarding the new cd.

Re: City Boy: Deadly Delicious!

Thank you again guys, glad you still like! 9 years! Feels like yesterday and 100 years ago at the same time. Thanks Al for bringing up this old thread, it was good to see! This cd was a brilliant idea, Mikael, and nicely put together. Apt title, great democratically selected songs and the live bonu...

Re: City Boy: Deadly Delicious!

Last night I found my copy of the City Boy compilation "Deadly Delicious," designed and created by Mikael nine years ago! It has been a number of years since I listened to this cd and I had forgotten how good it sounds.

Nice job Mikael. Your classic creation still holds up well.

Re: The Magical Mystery Band lineup

what would this band sound like? We could make a fake album with signature songs from each of the members from roughly the same time period if possible. Think about it I think that is an excellent idea Christian. Doing so would really give us an idea of the sound of a band we created by use of a ra...
