Re: music similar to supertramp

I just visited the Toender Festival the alst weekend of august, where I experienced the irish band "Hudson-Taylor". Many of their songs have some very Supertramp sounding songs. I can recommend a listen to those brothers. And while I'm at it, I listened to a band called Anderson East. This must be a...

"New discovery"?

I jsut had a very pleasant surprise listening to the canadian band "Walk Off The Earth". What an amazing sound. It's music to put you in a good mood, so if you don't know what else to do, lend them your ear and hopefully have some fun. Especially their new edition of Adele's "Hello" knocked me off m...

R.I.P. Jon English

That's that and that was it. This morning great Aussie singer and musician Jon English died. Like so many others I first heard him doing "6 Ribbons" in "Against the wind" and later got to get his music better. In my ears one of the best songs ever is his "Hollywood 7". I use it in my englishclasses ...

Re: Road music a k a history repeats itself.

Hi Geir...and you other grumpy ol' men and women. Nice to read your story Geir. Guess we all have our peace of history with CB. I still listen a lot to CB, but now more when I drive than in my livingroom. Not that my love to the group has grown smaller, but I guess the members on Rito's have got me ...

Re: Mike Slamer - Seventh Key

Seventh Key still sounds much like KANSAS, which is okay by me. I saw Kansas 3 years ago at a koncert in Sonderburg in Denmark. a little crowded place with only about 400 viewers. But a great koncert and I had the luck to talk to Billy Greer afterwards. Since I'll never get to see CB this was the ko...

The only one who comes to mind are Commander Cody and eventually Ray Stevens. But I quite agree with Robin.
