Re: Re-Appraising CB

Re-Appraising CB -- that is exactly what I do every time I get around to listen to them again (usually there is a couple of year between the periods). And every time I get a little surprised that my own hyping of the band actually is well-grounded. In my childhood, TDTECF and HAR, copied from my unc...

Re: Mario Vargas Llosa and City Boy

I have always had a feeling that Lol Mason was interested in books and movies, so personally I do not think that it is a coincidence!

Re: Which background colour do you have?

i have no idea why i stuck with thewhite background for so long. the old board was kind of brown (right?) and i liked that one better than the white by far. but black is great too.

Thanks! Great work. It will be hard enough to choose ten bass players anyway...

Re: New Idea

I absolutely want to participate in this! But I need some time. What is the deadline for contributing with the first list? I need at least a couple of days, perhaps more. I start with the vocalists and update the post as soon as I'm satisfied with the other lists: Lillian Leach Steve Marriott Sam Co...

Prog rock of the last 20 years

It has always seem less rewarding for me to explore the progressive rock scene of the recent years, compared to listening to the stuff from the 70s. I have listened to some Porcupine Tree (which I first heard of here!), A.C.T, Pendragon, Anekdoten, but not much more than that. So now I'm asking you ...

Re: seeking help

Cassette tapes was the best thing I knew, the only thing I ever bought for my pocket money was tapes, preferably TDK AD 90 min, but I liked the smell of Maxwell tapes also, it was almost like that of my parents reeled tapes. When I was 3 1/2 and it was christmas I wanted cassette tapes, and I got a ...

Re: Best song of 1987

That's not a bad song, and Crying in the rain is also good. These songs are among the few that I remember hearing in the 80s, much thanks to my aunt's husband and my older brother who used to borrow his casettes. Actually, City Boy reached me the same way. "Here I Go Again " Whitesnake.Love that son...

Great songs. Big Time is on one of my favorite albums of the decade.
