It was in response to a letter I wrote to Zomba publishing enquiring about the whereabouts of City Boy. I have lost that c...

Re-Appraising CB

Last weekend I got all of my CB vinyl records back from a mate and have been listening to them. In my opinion the first 2 albums stand head and shoulders above the rest. Why do I say that? Well I saw them live back in the mid 70's a couple of times in Plymouth UK and was struck by their razor sharp ...

Re: The moment I discovered City Boy

I lived in Plymouth and the first Virgin Record store outside of London opened in 1973/4. It was run by a husband and wife team - a couple of Brummie hippies called John and Lel who were mad Little Feat fans but also used to play the first City Boy album loads on the shop stereo - I got hooked. cos ...

Re: Tim Hart, RIP

Glad someone mentioned this. At risk of showing my age, the 70's were IMHO the best decade ever for music. It had everything - the early years had some real innovation in rock - Tull, Genesis, Gentle Giant - the list is endless. Then you had glam rock in the mid 70's when Bowie, Queeen, Roxy et al c...

Hey Duckie

Look it would be great if you were a part of it, but if you are not, who gives a flying one?

I certainly don't.

I just hope you don't keep quacking about here trying to take the piss because it is SOOO boring!

Love

I was at this gig too - weren't they amazing? I saw them in 73, 76, 77, 78 and this was the best by far.

Re: New live recording discovered in KBFH vaults!!!

Chris - do you remember the 2 Plymouth shows you did at Castaways and Woods clubs? I saw you at both. Did you know John and Lel who ran the Virgin Records store in Plymouth - Brummies both and they claimed they knew you.
